Picture book recommendation of the day: Izzy and Frank by two very talented Australian creators - @katrina.lehman and @sophiebeerdraws . Izzy is an island girl at heart, her daily adventures with BFF Frank (a seagull) come to an abrupt end when Izzy and her family move to the city. Izzy struggles to adjust to her new life but when Frank comes to visit, Izzy realised that true friends stay with you forever and new friends are always on the horizon. Katrina’s poetic language and Sophie’s engaging illustrations sing together in this joyous book. Izzy and Frank is highly re-readable with something new to be discovered each time. Picture book recommendation of the day: Bronte Me and My Boots is the first in a series from two very talented creators @pen.harrison and @evie_barrow . Bronte is a wonderfully assertive character who bucks the label of Bossy boots. This book is a joy, Penny’s lyrical language; full of rhythm and rhyme is perfectly paired with Evie’s whimsical, dynamic and bright illustrations.
